What Causes Recurrence Of Allergy When On Aerius?

Good Morning Doctor,



I am Vinaya, 33 yrs old - staying in Abu Dhabi. I have some allergic problems - itching, redness etc . Still 5month i am taking medicine (AERIUS 5mg) - once in a day. Now still allergic syptoms occurs. Doctor test blood already, it shows allergy level high. so how long i have to take medicines. please advice

Hello
Since you are having allergy and taking aerius , this is antihistamine and act up to certain extent.
When such case visit I prescribe montelukast= fexofnadine ( combination ) ,one tablet on alternate day and patient respond very well .
But this is a prescription drug ,so consult your doctor and get his prescription .
Also get in stool examination for worm infestation .
If possible get in blood for eosinophils count , if very high ( as you didn't mention in the query ) then take a 2nd opinion or upload report over this site.
