What Causes Rectal Pain, Light Headedness And Abdominal Cramps?

I woke up in night with severe rectal pain and light headedness. I now have aching cramps in lower abdomen and it is sore to touch. This has happened before. I sometimes have red bloody discharge with mucous. Doctor has previously said she doesn t see anything from rectal exam.

Hi,
As there can be many causes, depends what factors are associated with it.
It can be because of 1. polyp 2. mass 3. Ulcerative colitis 4.Crohns Disease 5.Repeated anal sex etc
I would like to know if you have other symptoms e.g.. joint pain, skin problems , rapid weight loss ,eyes problem ,mouth ulcers .In my opinion get Colonoscopy and stool test done and discuss with gastroentrologist.
Hope my answer will be helpfull for you

hi
thank you asking HCM
If I were your treating doctor I would recommend colonoscopy to determine the colon ( large bowel).
rectal exam is not sufficient to determine the colon.
