What Causes Rectal Discomfort During Sleep?

iam having rectal discomfort,usually while i sleep,it only last about 15 or 20 minutes than goes away.on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain level is about 6,only way to describe it as a dull ache.I have no rectal bleeding or problems with bowel movements.I have this problem maybe once a month.

You have to be evaluated before confirming it as Idiopathic.

Idiopathic rectal pain called proctalgia fugax. due to muscles in the anal canal and pelvic floor tightening suddenly.

Some triggers are sexual activity, stress, constipation, passing stools, menstruation.

Oral diltiazem, topical glycerin trinytrate useful.

Please consult your doctor before taking drugs.
