What Causes Rectal Bleeding While On Coumadin In An Heart Patient?
My mom is 71 years old and has congestive heart failure. She has been on coumadin for 2 weeks and just had a lot of blood come out when she passed gas. She called the doctor but we haven t heard back yet. Is this cause for alarm or is this likely a hemmorhoid. She has a history of constipation. I am hoping she should just reduce her coumadin. Is there anything else to worry about?

While this could just be a hemorrhoid problem, since it was a lot of blood she needs to be examined right away to make sure no more bleeding occurs
