What Causes Rectal Bleeding, Dehydration And Weakness While Treating Colon Cancer?

Hello, my husband was treated for a colon cancer last year and did 6 months of chemo - finished November 2014. A follow up colonoscopy mid February was clear as well as blood tests and his CT scan last month. He has had a bit of fresh blood yesterday and today, however he got dehydrated and strained a lot. What is the likelihood of him developing something so soon after all clear in last 2-3 months?

Hello,

It is less likely that this bleeding is related to the colon cancer. In my opinion it could be just hemorrhoids. Anyway, I recommend consulting with a surgeon for a physical exam and performing a colonoscopy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
