What Causes Raspy Throat With A Lump And Scratchy Voice?

Hi, I was wondering what is wrong with me at the moment. Since two days ago my throat has been very raspy lately and my voice is getting more and more scratchy to the point where I can t talk. There is a lump in my throat, and the occasional muscus. The only problem I don t have is coughing, unless of course the build up of mucus makes it hard to breathe. Thanks for taking your time reading this.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
Hoarseness of voice since 2 days is more so because of throat infection. (Laryngitis).
This can treated with penicillin antibiotics + steroids.
Voice rest and steam inhalation advised.
Lump in the throat needs evalution.
I would suggest you to consult with the doctor and get treated.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
