What Causes Rashes On The Arms And Legs And Pain In The Joints?

Hi! I ve had these rashes on my arms and legs and at the back for over 3 weeks now. My blood test reveals a normal CBC with a slightly high RBCs, negative in ASO, normal CRP, and 42mm/hr ESR. Also, I m having joint pains, I can barely walk. I also experienced fever (once) and chest pains. I also had rashes in the face once but disappeared in the morning. What should I do :(

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think this would need proper evaluation. Rashes with joint pain indicate autoimmune disorders like SLE, sarcoidosis etc, especially if for a long time.

Other causes include viral infection, or few times drugs reactions. Certain drug allergic conditions like psoriasis may also cause skin rashes and joint pain.

So I understated if this has been for more than a week you should seek advice from skin specialist who can better tell by seeing the task.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
