I'm 41 years old and a few weeks ago developed a rash on my ankles and shins. Tiny colorless and sometimes red raised dots along with what looks like hives. The itching is pretty severe and the rash is followed by spotty bruising. This rash is slowly working up my legs and has spread to my arms. I can't find anything definitive online and have an appt w/a dermatologist next week. Thanks for any input you may have...
Rashes on the ankles with itching's that are spreading in the legs and arms are commonly due to scabies. You are suggested to wash your clothes and beddings in hot water and Savlon. Take care of your hygiene, wear cotton clothes. Take regular bath. You can apply ointment Ascabiol in the areas affected. Leave it for 40-50 minutes & then take a bath. Repeat this after 15 days. Other medical conditions that cause similar symptoms are contact dermatitis, allergic dermatitis, autoimmune disorders, viral infections, varicose veins, etc.
You can take non sedating antihistamines, one SOS when needed for relieve. Avoid sex for a couple of days. You should consult a dermatologist & take skin biopsy & STD tests to detect any STI. You will be treated accordingly. Get treated at the earliest. Do not keep the skin dry, apply calamine lotion or hydrocortisone ointment to ease the discomfort.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
