i was diagnosed with tonsilitiis on Wednesday even though i have had them out 40 years ago i have a bit of regrowth. i was given penicillin but it hasnt helped. today although my headache and temperature have finally gone i have a rash all over my back and are coughing up bloody phlem

Since you have been coughing up blood phlegm and you can see some growth in the tonsillar area in spite of removal 40 years ago, I would think of the following things in such a case: Send the sample of the phlegm for microscopy, culture and sensitivity, gram staining and any special tests. X-ray of the chest and sinuses to see if there is any focus of primary infection. A course of an antibiotic and probiotic and thus get better. Gargling, steam inhalation helps further. Get an opinion of an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and to get a proper management.
