Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i am 41 year old and I am having acid reflux problem. I have rapid heart beats in the night.
On June 15 in the middle of the night I felt this rapid heart beat and restlessness and I went to the emergency. They did ECG and monitored. Everything was normal. I was told that I was pregnant. Doctor told me that it could be due to acid reflux and they asked me to check my thyroid too. Thyroid tests were normal and done twice. We were not ready for the third pregnancy so we terminated it on July 4th.
Now even after the pregnancy was terminated, last week I woke up in the middle of the night because of rapid heart beat. Last two days I have been taking pepcid once a day. But still I am getting this rapid heart beats not very severely but it does occur in the nights and some times in the day time after having food. Please advice. should I consult a physician or gastroentrologist?
