Neurologist 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms could be related to myoclonus. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist and performing an EEG. Other tests to consider would be: complete blood count for anemia, thyroid hormone levels for thyroid dysfunction, blood electrolytes for electrolyte imbalance, calcium plasma levels and vitamin D plasma levels for possible deficiency.
In the meantime, I would recommend treatment with clonazepam. You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes, Dr. Aida
