What Causes Raised Sore Red Bump On Thumb Of A 2 Year Old?
Hi my 2.5yr old son showed me his thumb this morning saying it was sore, there is a raised red lump (looks infected) and in the centre is a greenish/yellowish circle (was black when he first showed me) with a white edge around it, any ideas what it could be?? Thanks

I have carefully read the details given by you.
It seems to be due to some insect bite or throne injury which might have got infected later on.
You should apply anti biotic ointment like betadine over the lump. You may give half paracetamol to the child if he is complaining of pain.
Be watchful for fever & increase in the size of lump. Take the child to doctor if any of these happens.
