What Causes Radiating Electricity Like Feeling Down Both Legs?
For four years I have had this strange sensation from my hip down. It feels like an electrical current going down my legs (mostly the right side), emanating from the tailbone area. It comes and goes in 36-48 hour cycles. Flare ups typically last around 36-48 hours, followed by 24 hours of relief. The sensation usually returns if I doze off in bed. The longer I can stay awake, the longer relief period seems to last. When I was 16 years old, a Herrington rod was implanted to fix an acute curvature of the spine. It remains in place. I am 57 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I have studied your case and I think that you are having lumbar spondylitis. In this condition there is nerve compression in the spine and that causes pain and tingling and numbness in hip and leg.. To confirm this diagnosis you will need MRI. I would like to suggest you to follow these stages. 1.Tablet Pregabalin and Methylcobalamine tablet daily. 2.LS belt. 3Intermittent pelvic traction exercises. 4. Avoid using wright lifting. I hope these steps will help you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
