Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I occasionally get bumps on my labia minora that grow, after about a week I am able to pop said bump and blood/puss are released. The last time I had one of the bumps was about a month ago, however in recent days I have started to develop a purple color to the under part of my labia minors. Should I be concerned? I am fearful that this could be something more serious than I have been thinking.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to bartholinitis or boils. This usually occur due to improper hygiene or change in normal vaginal PH and normal bacterial flora. You can do hot fomentation and apply betadine ointment locally for this. Using intimate wash regularly also will be helpful to restore normal vaginal bacterial flora and PH. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
