Im 25 years old 5'4 120lbs. Im an asthmatic and I've just started smoking cigarrettes aggain after a year of not smoking. I've started taking vitamins ( multivitamins, iron, calcium chewables, and multivitamins chewables). I have notice the veins under my tongue are turning black or dark purple. My tongue tingles after I smoke a cigarrette. What could be wrong?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
This is normal. The veins under the tongue do look dark blue or black.
There is nothing wrong with that.
However, you should try and quit smoking. After doing a great job for a year why did you restart? As an asthmatic, smoking should be complete no no for you.
Let me know if you need help for quitting again.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
