What Causes Purple Colored Circular Spots On The Buttocks?

It s 1130pm where I live and I went to the bathroom and noticed I have small circle spots on the bottom of my butt cheeks. There purple. Don t itch. Don t hurt. I don t have any big bites and have never noticed them before. I have more on one cheek then the other. What can this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Before running into final conclusions, I need to have a look at the circular spots on the bottom of your butt cheeks first to evaluate the changes myself.

As no insect bite was noted, I need to ask if there is any trauma you experienced recently? Any history of blood disorder (low platelet count)? Any medication taken regularly (e.g. aspirin)?

I advise not to panic, and to run a complete blood count when you wake up.

Hope this helps.
