Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My left side of my neck has been pulsating for a week now, I would like to know if something serious is wrong? I am a diabetic and have high blood pressure also but I have never had this happen to me. I hold my left side every time my neck pulsates it feels real bad can you tell me what is wrong or what to do? Thank you.
It seems a swelling to me. I would suggest you to get ultrasound examination of the neck to confirm the diagnosis. If it is cystic swelling then it should be excised. If it is just because of high pressure of blood then you need to control blood pressure. Also some time a diabetic patient can feel such sensation due to neuropathy.
