What Causes Pulsations Around The Knees?

Hi, tonight I noticed there is a pulsing sensation on my right next to me knee. There is no pain, just a pulse that I can see and feel. I have started exceeding lately so I thought that might be the reason. The last time I excercised was yesterday. Is this something I should be worried about ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This may indicate popliteal artery aneurysm and it may be a serious issue. So you need to do Doppler ultrasound first to rule this out. Later, you can do other tests. It may also be a Baker's cyst which is a less serious condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
