What Causes Puffy Nipples?

Hello, I had puffy nipples for atleast 5 years, I m 15% body fat, my nipples are only puffy, no hard lump, my chest is fine because I train it but the nipples are pointy, (when I go In shower or I touch them abit they shrink at a perfect size). I do masturbate a lot and I read that high prolactin can cause puffy nipples, is this why I have puffy nipples ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Are you male or female? To be able to sort this out it, if the problem is pronounced, I recommend going in to see your physician as it's hard, with description only, to tell if this is a type of hormonal breast development or inflammation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh,
General & Family Physician
