What Causes Protruding Veins On The Temple?

Hello, I am a 33 yr old male. This evening I noticed the veins on my temple are bulging out. Should I be concerned? I just got back from the lake and it looks like I have a sunburn in the same area. What s freaking me out though, is before I felt the veins bulging out I felt an invention on the top right front side of my scalp for the first time. Is there any medical emergency causing this or concern?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

By what you explain, there seems to be nothing to worry about. As long as you have no pain everything is ok.

You will need to treat the sunburn with lotions after sunburn and try to prevent future sun exposure to allow enough time for your skin to heal.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
