Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my name is Campbell Jordan, i'm a boy . I'm 135 pounds and 5'9 1/2. My chest is flat, including the stomach and chest. For the exception of my right breast. My right breast has protruding ribs. My doctor consulted an orthopedic, and he declined my visit because my chest doesn't cause any severe health issue. It's strictly physical. As you can probably tell it causes me to be insecure. Is there any way i could fix this problem with money out of my own pocket?

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. S. Samanta's Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
After going through your description, I could understand the psychological pressure you are going through! In fact, you are having cosmetic problem rather a health problem.
therefore, if I were your consultant doctor, I would first do a chest X-ray or CT scan to find out any underlying disease in the lungs/pleura/heart or the ribs! Sometimes it's just congenital or could be a normal variant...
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
