Hello Thanks for writing to us. Protein in urine is the condition of sign of kidney disease. Healthy kidneys do not allow a significant amount of protein to pass through their filters. But filters damaged by kidney disease may let proteins such as albumin leak from the blood into the urine. Proteinuria can also be a result of overproduction of proteins by the body. The two most common risk factors for proteinuria are: Diabetes High blood pressure (hypertension) Both diabetes and high blood pressure can cause damage to the kidneys, which leads to proteinuria. other causes include: Medications Trauma Toxins Infections Immune system disorders As you said that you were stressed because of your husband s sickness. Stress lowers down the immune system hence can be a cause of proteinuria. Though stress is not the direct cause of it. I would suggest you to take proper treatment for this condition.
