What Causes Protein In Urine And Abdominal Pain?

Hey doc! I m a bit scared right now I m almost 40 weeks pregnant and at my doc visit today she said we are now watching out for preeclampsia. I have all the signs except for protein in urine, could I still have it without having protein in urine?! These are my symptoms: edema swelling in my ankles in feet recently were you can put an indent with you finger and it stays, higher blood pressure 138/something when last apt it was 108/something but is usually low or normal, upper right abdominal pain, rapid weight gain water weight 11 pds in 2 weeks, anxiety, lower back pain, see spots and stars at times in vision, feeling like acid reflux without eating, shortness of breath. Has anyone had it or know if this sounds like I have it im scared I ve had nothing wrong this pregnancy this whole time and I had no idea what preeclampsia was until I read about it and I don t want anything to happen to baby or I :( I have an apt close to hospital tomo in the morning and was thinking I should probably go in. Let me know if anyone has delt with preeclampsia and has any advice or opinions thanks ladies I appreciate it! (I ve also had numbness on upper tummy and tingling in feet)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posing on HCM
Preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder in pregnancy that may present with high BP, edema or not and proteinuria. The absence of proteinuria exclude preeclamsia as of now. That can be termed gestational hypertension. However, with this condition, you will need to be watched out for preeclampsia. At 40 weeks of gestation, you are already at term.I will suggest you see your OBGYN for delivery to prevent other complications if you should keep waiting.
Hope my answer will help
