I banged my knee on a metal table leg a couple of weeks ago. Ever since then I have this spot on my knee cap that feels like there is glass in it when I run my fingernail over that spot. Dear patient
There might be piece of metal foreign body that is lying below skin and leading to inflammation and sensitivity to touch. This can be diagnosed with simple Xray of knee anteroposterior and lateral views which shows radiopaque foreign body. If foreign body is seen on Xray it can be removed by surgery. Visit nearby surgeon in your locality with Xray report. All the best
