What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding And Abdominal Cramps Post Insertion Of Mirena IUD?

Hello, so I got a Mirena IUD put in about four months ago and my OBGYN said that I would spot/bleed for a couple months (3) after and then it should start to die down, but I'm going into month four and I'm still bleeding and having horrible cramps. I was on the pill for two years and had absolutely no cramping and my period was extremely light and lasted for one day. When this bleeding occurs it's from a week to almost two weeks before it stops. Should I expect to having this sort of problem for the rest of the time that I have my IUD or is this a medical problem that I should have addressed by my OBGYN? HELP ME PLEASE

I really appreciate your concern, it better to remove the device first and stop all the medicines that is going on and wait for some time chances of every thing fine would be very likely hope this information helps, take care and have nice day.
