What Causes Prolonged Spotting Post Miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage 8 weeks ago I had the tablets in hospital and ended up staying in over night due to haemorrhage, 3 weeks later found out from an ultra sound scan that I had retained products then had more tablets to get the retained products out, but 8 weeks later I'm still spotting???

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Prolonged spotting after miscarriage is a worrisome symptom & it indicates presence of retained pregnancy contents in uterus.
First of all an ultrasound would be done. If the retained pregnancy contents are not passed till, Dilation & curretage ( D & C ) is advised. Dilation and curettage is a minor surgical procedure to remove tissue from inside your uterus.

Consult a gynaecologist
Hope this information helps
