What Causes Prolonged Delay In Periods After Having Miscarriage?

Hi doctor, i had miscarriage on 21st August 2015 and it has been more than 8 weeks and still i dont have my period back. is it normal? i am really worried. i have PCOS and trying for baby for almost 2 years. your advise would be highly appreciated as i am very much worried. Thank you so much Doctor

As you have passed two months since you had miscarriaged , did not menstruate, if i have to treat such a patient i will advice to have her urine for pregnancy tested. If not pregnant to start the menstrual periods i will advice tab medroxyprogestrone acetate 10 mg daily orally for the first 10 days. It will ensure withdrawl bleeding . If you desire pregnancy start low dose conteraceptive pills for about 6 months to regularise your periods and increase chances of pregnancy.
