What Causes Prolonged Abdominal Pain And Prostatitis?

on and off for the past 20 or so years I have had pain behind my navel that can radiate to my back and into my groin. Sometimes it seems to come on after doing physical work that uses my stomach muscles and sometimes not. When I have it I have difficulty urinating with pain in abdomen and burning sensation, though not every time and bowel movements can be painful. I have had one kidney stone, numerous bouts of prostatitis. I am early 50 s, w/m and have also had depression most of my life. Many life changing events occurred in 2014 that I am still not able to get over, divorce, job loss both lasted 20 yrs. Death and sickness in immediate family. Miss wife terribly. What s wrong with me

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

Consult a urologist and get evaluated.

You have to start on antibiotics.

Nothing much to worry and your symptoms will improve with timely antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
