Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Projectile Vomiting, Diarrhea, Swollen Glands, Neck Stiffness, Rash On Neck?
I have have been having projectile vomiting off and on for 2 weeks with uncontrollable diareah my dr said its a viral infection as my left hand side glands were swollen and my neck has been stiff. My question is today I have developed a bad rash down the left side of my neck is this related? Thank you
Rash can be a symptom of a wide variety of things, including a viral gastroenteritis infection. Oftentimes the rash associated with this infection is mildly red, maybe slightly itchy, and goes away on it's own.
Information that doctors use to diagnose a rash is appearance, itchiness, painfulness, pattern of distribution, length of time it has been present. Without a lot more information (and ideally a pitcture), I am unable to say with any certainty what kind of rash you have.
