What Causes Prickling And Throbbing Feeling In Anus?

Whenever I lay in my bed at night and try to fall asleep ( this is the only time I ever expiernce this problem) it feels like there is something prickling away at my anus and there is also a slight throbbing feeling down there it s not really that painful but more so annoying and disrupting my sleep

Feeling of pricking sensation with throbbing is annoying and disturbing in and around anus , may be due to these possibilities , these include:
1 Eczematous dermatitis around soft skin of anus . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a dermatologist .
2 Hemorrhoids , may be the another possibility . Again physical examination by a surgeon / physician will rule out piles ( hemorrhoids ).
3 Worm infestation is another most common cause of such type of feeling or discomfort . Stool examination as well physical examination will rule out this thing .
A swab from pricking sensation area and its culture will find out the worm infestation.
However there are so many other causes such type of feeling like allergy or any other skin infection.
So consult a primary care physician and get his opinion.
