What Causes Pressure Under The Rib Cage On The Left Side?

I have been experiencing a decided pressure under the upper ribcage on the left side of the body. This pressure increases into pain occasionally accompanied by constipation and buildup of gas. Ive had a contrast ct which was unremarkable. Possible causes?

Pressure under rib cage on left side,constipation and gas are all signs of dyspepsia or indigestion.
They can be simply present because of faulty food habits.But if they are present since long and increasing in severity or are associated with retrosternal burning sensation,it can be due to H.pylori infection or pancreatic insufficiency.

If I were your treating doctor,I would recommend,
-PPIs like omeprazole once a day for couple of days.
-Avoid fried,junk,high fat content food.Avoid carbonated drinks and alcohol as it may excaberate symptoms.Increase intake of high fibre content food like fruits,green leafy vegetables,raisins,bran like oats.
Drink minimum 8-10 glasses of water per day.These will help maintain easy bowel mobility.
-Keep body weight within control by regular exercising.
If symptoms still do not improve in 7 days,visit to gastroenterologist/general surgeon.
Certain specific investigations may be needed to rule out above possibilities like pancreatic enzyme levels,endoscopy.
