What Causes Pressure Sensation Behind The Eyes?

I have a horrible pressure just behind my left eye itself that arises once every couple weeks like it s in the socket. Feels like a headache but it s not cause little blurry vision horrible pain. Also feels like all facial features swells and so does eye like it bulges. With that said I was crossed eyed both eyes had surgery when I was four that eye is my lazy eye my prescription for glasses is like what and you can see. Far sided in one near in other astigmatism in both. With all that what do you think. Also I am on topamax cymbals and zanex and have just now found out that I have early stage of hyperthyroidism

A few conditions can cause pressure behind the eye, including:

sinus problems, headaches, Graves’ disease, damage to the optic nerve, tooth pain.

The sinuses are hollow spaces in the skull, positioned above, below, behind, and between the eyes.

Problems with the sinuses often include feelings of pain in and around the face. One of the main symptoms of a sinus infection is throbbing pain and pressure around the eyeballs.
