What Causes Pressure In The Head And Fluid In The Ears?
I am experiencing strange sensations in my head at night only. It happens at random and only lasts for a couple of seconds. It s hard to explain, but I ll try. It feels like an immense pressure on my head along ...with I have a sinus infection right now and fluid in middle ears. The pressure happens in waves like someone squeezing my head then it stops it takes my breathe away.
You are having upper respiratory tract infection like sinusitis or otitis media. Your work-up needed as follows: • PNS x-ray • CBC • Otoscopy ear examination • Auscultation
If it is otitis media like infection (by otoscopy finding) then topical antibiotic ear drop is prescribed. Take Levocetirizine or Phenylephrine like decongestant for symptomatic relief. If congestion is more than short-term steroid is prescribed
If CBC shows high count with neutrophilia than antibiotic course is prescribed. Vitamin C lozenges are useful. Drink warm water. Steam inhalation done 3 times a day. Consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination and discuss all these and get your prescription.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
