What Causes Pressure In The Eyes And Blurry Vision After Treating The Pink Eye?

I went to the urgent care Monday, was diagnosed with pink eye, they put me on erythromycin .05% eye ointment and some of the pink, puffiness has gone away, however I have still pressure above my eye and blurred vision and some bright light hurts my eyes. Should I wait or go see and eye doctor. If so what type of eye doctor do I see?? Thanks Venitta

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi venetta
For your query... Pink eye is very common and it's not an emergency situation to be worried.. It's just an inflammation of the conjuctiva which can cause blurred vision and intolerance to bright light so nothing to be worried off so my advice is used the eye drops as prescribed and use dark shades to prevent eye too much light entering the eyes and avoid using phones and televisions and laptop.. Give some rest to eye and you will be fine in a week.. If pressure is still there after one week then do visit an ophthalmologist

Thanks

Regards
