What Causes Pressure In Chest And Abdomen After Consuming Alcohol?

Hi, after drinking alcohol last night I ve been experiencing a tight feeling in my chest and stomach. My hangover wasn t bad, no headaches or being sick. And I was just wondering if this was normal or not? I m 17 and I don t have any medical problems, we were drinking vodka with Coke and then prosecco, thank you

Thank you for writing in.
The mentioned symptoms are due to gastritis caused due to excessive alcohol intake.

As of you can take an over the counter proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole 20mg half an hour before breakfast. Then drink some milk with a bread toast. Have bland food for 3 days. It will get alright.

Kindly restrict your alcohol intake in future and try to consume fatty foods like peanuts or chicken fry along with alcohol so that it reduces absorption of alcohol.
