Hi... I went for my yearly checkup to my urologist. I m 48 and have a prostate enlargement of 20% according to my doctor. My PSA was good but he said I had red blood cells in my urine 3-5. He has a CT scan scheduled for Friday. What could cause the red blood cells to be elevated. He did mention cancer..

although CA prostate might be a cause ,plz rule out other causes by detail urine and blood examination as well.
However the scheduled investigation can be done to rule out carcinoma.
