What Causes Pregnancy Symptoms With History Of Tubal Ligation?

Hi My name is Amanda, I am 36yrs old and I have been having some pregnancy symptoms which concern me because my tubes have been tied since 12/2011. My last period was 08/18/2015, my breasts have been sore , I have an odd pressure in my lower abdomen, I had some spotting around 09/16/2015, and I have been super tired. I took a pregnancy test about a week ago and it was negative. what should I do?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The chance of pregnancy is low since you have a history of tubal ligation.

The other causes of delayed period are: (1) emotional stress or illness
(2)side effect of medication
(3)physical illness
(4)high levels of prolactin hormone
(5)thyroid disease
(6)polycystic ovarian syndrome

You can consider visiting your doctor for blood tests and imaging (ultrasound of the pelvis to take a look at the uterus, ovaries).

I hope this helps
