Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. I just read through your question.
I understand your frustration with the feeding of your baby. I want to reassure you, however, that the weight that you report is not abnormal. We expect babies to double their birth weight in the first four to five months of life. The numbers you report indicate that your baby's birth weight has doubled.
Typically, we recommend beginning baby foods at this time in a baby's life. Adding baby foods can potentially have a positive effect on your baby's weight. I recommend consulting with your doctor about your baby's diet. However, I again reassure you that the weights that you report are normal.
