What Causes Pins And Needles Sensation On Hand After A Cat Scratch?

I had a cats nail go in to the top of my hand exactly where a vein was running. I put pressure on it to make it stop bleeding but now today (happened last night), my palm extending in to my fingers is all pins and needles. Will this go away on its own or should I be concerned?
