What Causes Pink Vaginal Discharge After Unprotected Intercourse?

I had unprotected sex on the last day of my period. The next day I noticed a pink discharge that went away after a day or so. I also noticed a smell coming from the discharge as well. The smell has eased up a bit but is still present. I had a bowel movement today & the pink discharge was on the tissue paper. I have no itching or burning when I urinate & the discharge has only been pink. I am worried. ):

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Pink vaginal discharge could be due to normal menstrual bleeding, trauma during intercourse, cervicitis, endometrial and cervix dysplasia.
If problem persists, I would suggest to consult gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, swab test, usg scan and PAP smear if required.
Specific treatment depend on cause
Take warm water sitz bath
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
