What Causes Pink Colored Blotches On Waist?
My granddaughter (age 2) has three dime-size blotches on her left side at the waist. They are pink in the center and edged with a deeper pink/red tone. They are raised a little at the edges. She wants to scratch. I do not think it is mosquito bites. What does impetigo look like?

The pink blotches on waist indicate possible fungal or bacterial infection most likely. The impetigo rash usually involves face, nose, forehead, hands and feet; they look bright red and turns into honey crusted lesion within a period of 5-7 days.
