What Causes Pimples On Body?

Hi My son has developed a few, and I mean only a few, little pimples on his body, 2 on his tummy, 2 on his bottom and a couple on his legs. He has been a little off these last 2 weeks, loss of apatite, but still eating and a bit teary. He is 2yrs and 9 months old. He has already had chicken pox last December. The pimples look like when you get a zit, small raised area which is red on the first day then with a small spot in the centre, After a day or two seem to start to disappear. They don t seem to itch or cause him any discomfort in any way. He goes into hospital soon for a cyst removal from his top eyelid, next week actually and I was wondering is he going to be ok to have an anaesthetic still? thanks

Hello,
I can understand your concern for pimples on body of your son.

As I can get from your query that he already have some cyst on his body, so it can possible that he has the condition molluscum contagiosum.

It is a simple viral infection which gives the appearance exactly same as pimples and is most often seen in children.

It is nothing to be worried about and he can have his cyst removal procedure done without any fear.

Do not try to scratch or repeatedly touch the area. I suggest you to meet a dermatologist to take further guidance.

All the best.
