What Causes Persistent Vaginal Bleeding And Pain After Miscarriage?

I found out I miscarried on the 24th July due to an an embryonic pregnancy. However I only started to miscarry properly on the 15th August. How long should I expect to bleed? And why does my right ovary hurt? It s like a stretching pain that comes and goes other than that I m not really in any pain

Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Persistent vaginal bleeding post miscarriage needs evaluation as it should stop ideally once all the products of conception are expelled out.
If it is bleeding continuously, then it needs to be suspected that there could be retained products of conception.
Hence, kindly get an ultrasound scan done and consult Gynecologist with report for appropriate evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would help.
All the best.
