What Causes Persistent Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

How Im bleeding for a weak after having sex n taking ipill. do I need to visit a doctor?? I am 23 year old. I had sex with my partner before 9 days. After having sex within 1 hr I had an ipill. But after 5 days, it started bleeding. Now, today is fourth day, still bleeding but not in heavy rate. Do i have to visit doctor or is there any home treatment?? Can you plz plz plz help me.

Hi, iPill what you have taken is an emergency contraceptive pill, which will act by shedding the contents of the uterus by 3rd to 5th day after its consumption. It is like a normal phenomenon as your menstrual period.
You need not be worried as that is the way ipill acts. Ideally bleeding should stop by 5th day.
Sometimes, because of the hormones the ipill contains, few of them may continue to bleed for a couple of days extra. Also it make take some time for your next few cycles to become regular. So don't be worried. Relax for now.
You need to take medical advise by visiting an obstetrician if you continue to bleed for more than 10 days.
