Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hi,

As you have rheumatoid arthritis, your bowel problem can be because of other auto immune conditions like Crohn disease or ulcerative coilitis. Ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease are the most common types of inflammatory bowel disease.

Crohn disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive tract. Common symptoms include abdominal pain and diarrhea. Ulcerative colitis occurs when the lining of the large intestine (colon or bowel) and the rectum become inflamed.

Thorough evaluation with tests like endoscopy and colonoscopy are required before making any diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ramesh Kumar
