What Causes Persistent Symptoms Of Yeast Infection Despite Taking Medication?
Hi, I believe I have a yeast infection but I ve treated for three days so far and have had no improvement in symptoms besides mild relief of itching and no more soreness after the second day. I m very itchy but there is no burning when I pee or any other symptoms. Am I right that this is a yeast infection? Or does it sound like something else. I ve only had one other yeast infection and that was years ago.
This could be a yeast infection or other genitourinary tract infection like bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas infection or other infection. Here, I would like to know what all medicines have you taken? I would advise you for a battery of investigation like urine for culture and sensitivity test and accordingly you may require a course of antibiotics orally as well as vaginal pessaries under medical supervision. Meanwhile have plenty of fluids and maintain good hygiene.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question, I will be happy to help you.
Regards, Dr. BR Hudda
