General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It may still be just a normal postoperative course, however considering recent surgery, he should definitely go to hospital and see his surgeon since it may indicate certain postoperative complications such as:

1. Abscess
2. postoperative ileus
3. Postcholecystectomy syndrome

All these are commonly seen after gallbladder removal ay may manifest with all these symptoms that you mention so you need to do ultrasound and lab tests first. Try to heavier easier diet, more liquids and probiotics. It may take up to 2 weeks till digestion stabilize completely.

WIsh you good health. Regards
