What Causes Persistent Stomach Discomfort?

I been experiencing a squeezy stomach for the last several days. Quite honestly if it weren't 66 years old I would think I'm pregnant which is the same squeezy feeling. I am on no prescription medicine at all and have tried thinking if I have eaten anything that I've eaten(spicey etc) that could have contributed to this feeling(which I haven't). I am not vomiting or experiencing fever.

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor and do a stool exam [ME].

2)Discuss with your treating Doctor about [Pantoprazole] and digestive enzymes.

Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this -

1)Try to eat smaller, more frequent meals. Chew your food slowly and thoroughly.

2)Try to avoid triggers like fatty and spicy foods, processed foods, carbonated beverages, caffeine, alcohol and smoking etc.

3)Try to maintain a healthy weight. Excess pounds put pressure on your abdomen.

4)Do exercise regularly. Exercise helps you keep off extra weight and promotes better digestion.

5)Try to manage stress. Create a calm environment at mealtime. Practice relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, meditation or yoga. Spend time doing things you enjoy. Get plenty of sleep.

6)Try to avoid painkillers and if prescribed by your Doctor then take with food.

Hope that helps
