General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic....

As such there are many causes of fever...
In COPD usually occurs due to repeated respiratory flu infection...

If your chest x ray, CBC normal than it could not be from respi infection....

You can investigate with CRP first as primary work up...

Than here for fever your lymph node palpation, liver spleen palpation done and any chronic abdominal or other place or organ infection searched for by suitable investigation....

If hyperthyroid, HIV virus present than also fever can occur...

For chronic sinusitis if suspected sinus x ray can be taken...

Take care

Advise : Physician consultation for examination....
