What Causes Persistent Pain Post Incarcerated Hernia Surgery?

My son had emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia. That was almost 6 months ago and he is still in a great deal of pain. Post surgical scare adhesion is what I think it is. He had to stop working and his life has basically stopped because of the pain he is in at all times. He is only 21 and now he has falling into a deep depression. I need answers and help please.

Hello,

It may be due to infection at incision site.

For that you may require complete hemogram, discharge culture after surgeon consultation.

You may require antibiotics after consultation.

Maintain proper hygiene.

Watch for symptoms severe pain, unable to pass gas, bloating
